Kal Tire, Canada's largest and longest-standing national commercial service and tire dealer has announced that it has got approval from the Ministry of the Environment of the Management Plan for its Category B Individual Management System.

This approval will allow Kal Tire to introduce to the mining market in Chile, Ultra-Class tyres 57-inch and 63-inch rings from the Asian manufacturer Maxam, its strategic ally, and thus comply with the obligations established in Law 20,920 (Rep Law).

Kal Tire states that its close relationship with Maxam Tire at a global level it will now offer this option of high-performance tyres, which currently operate in different locations worldwide and are adapted to the demands of the sector.

Maxam Tire is a subsidiary of Sailun Group.

Founded back in 1990, Sailun Group was established to develop the intellectual capital to build tyres for global market demand and to build machinery facilities for the largest manufacturers in the world.

As of 2023, Sailun is currently the 12th largest global tyre company, sold in over 167 countries worldwide. It boasts a full range of products in the passenger tyre, truck tyre, and off-the-road tyre industries with 19 categories in total. Boasting ten sales centres, eight manufacturing centres, and four research and development (R&D) centres.
