TyreSafe is intensifying its road safety campaign for the agricultural sector as the UK harvest season commences, bringing a significant increase in farm vehicle traffic on rural roads. With combines, tractors and trailers moving frequently between fields and storage facilities, the organisation is stressing the critical importance of tyre maintenance to prevent incidents and minimise downtime during this peak period.

Ahead of Farm Safety Week, scheduled for 20–24 July 2026, TyreSafe is collaborating with agricultural partners to disseminate essential safety messages. The focus is on the heightened risks posed by heavy loads, extended working hours and unpredictable weather, all of which are compounded by the unique challenges of rural roads such as narrow lanes, blind bends and debris. These factors collectively elevate the probability of tyre-related failures, affecting both farm efficiency and public road safety.

To address these risks, TyreSafe is promoting the Farmer’s Five, a practical framework for agricultural tyre care. This approach emphasises maintaining correct tyre pressure for optimal traction and fuel efficiency, selecting appropriate tyre types for specific machinery and terrain and strictly managing weight loads to avoid premature wear and dangerous blowouts. It also underscores the necessity of regular inspections to catch damage early and proper storage to prevent tyre degradation during downtime, thereby extending their operational lifespan.

Beyond the farmgate, TyreSafe is reminding all motorists to exercise heightened caution due to the increased presence of slow-moving agricultural vehicles. In support of farmers and contractors, the organisation has released a dedicated suite of resources on its website, including the comprehensive Ultimate Guide to Agricultural Tyres and the Farmer’s Five checklist. Industry stakeholders are being urged to actively share these materials, which include leaflets and social media assets, throughout Farm Safety Week to promote safer practices during the busy harvest period.

Dunlop Motorcycle Europe has expanded its original equipment partnership with Beta Motorcycles, securing a deal to supply advanced Geomax tyres across the Italian brand’s trial and motocross lineups. The enhanced collaboration introduces new standard fitments for both competition disciplines.

For trial applications, the Geomax TL01 replaces the previous D803GP on Beta’s Evo and Sincro models. Engineered with a high-adhesion compound and a specialised block layout for angled terrain, the ultra-sticky tyre has already proven popular among Beta racers and now becomes factory-standard equipment.

In the motocross sector, Beta has adopted the Geomax MX34 for its entire RX range, covering both two-stroke and four-stroke 250 cc and 350 cc variants, as well as the 450 cc model. Designed primarily for intermediate ground, the versatile MX34 performs effectively across diverse surfaces, from soft mud to compacted dirt.

This collaboration formalises the mutual dedication of both organisations to address critical safety challenges facing UK's transport networks.

Logistics UK, a prominent membership association representing over 21,000 enterprises, encompasses the breadth of the supply chain, including road, rail, water and air freight.
