Linglong Tire Starts Mass Production Of 3A-Rated SPORT MASTER e Tyre
- by TT News
- March 10, 2025

Linglong Tire has commenced mass production of its 3A-rated SPORT MASTER e tyre. The tyre is specifically designed for new energy vehicles and provides excellent rolling resistance performance, wet grip and noise control, thus achieving the highest rating (AAA) in the EU tyre labelling system.
SPORT MASTER e features an optimised structural design, a high-performance carcass and a reduced rolling resistance formula. It successfully lowers internal energy loss and intermolecular friction when paired with the new LRR energy-saving formula technology, resulting in a 23 percent decrease in energy consumption and an eight percent improvement in driving range. With a wear index as high as 500, the use of carcass materials with high modulus and low shrinkage, along with BPT steady-state pressure technology, further improves performance stability and service life.
By using a new generation of high-wet grip formula, FBU water flow disruption unit and WFG water flow guiding technology, the tyre also performs very well while wet braking. Its wet braking distance is 0.33 metres less than rivals', according to third-party trustworthy testing data. Wet driving safety is greatly increased by the ‘water film killer’ technology, which effectively drains water and destroys the water film when paired with a distinctive tread pattern.
The SPORT MASTER e tyre uses LNC low-noise technology, which comprises of three basic technologies: multi-dimensional noise removal, noise sealing and a quiet groove wall. Together, they provide ultra-low noise performance, providing riders with a quieter and more pleasant riding experience by reducing noise by up to 3.2 decibels. The company is also actively exploring the application of sustainable materials in 3A products.

Trelleborg Tires has collaborated with Moreton Morrell College to provide AGCO apprentices in the UK with essential insights into tyre technology and skills necessary for the evolving agricultural sector.
Trelleborg Tires and AGCO continue to be important strategic partners in the agricultural sector, demonstrating a common dedication to innovation in contemporary farming. Apprentices took part in a comprehensive training session that covered everything from tyre inflation systems, track construction and proper fitting techniques to tyre selection and soil conservation by interacting with Trelleborg Tires' experts, such as Russell Ellis, Sales Manager UK, and Jimmy Jones, Technical Manager UK. Apprentices were encouraged to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world circumstances with a heavy emphasis on hands-on mentoring, which helped to close the gap between classroom instruction and industrial practice.
Ellis said, "We are committed to supporting the next generation of agricultural professionals by equipping them with vital tire expertise. Through this collaboration, we are nurturing a new wave of specialists who will help drive the industry forward."
Andy Southerton, Lecturer in Land-Based Engineering, Moreton Morrell College, said, "Working with Trelleborg Tires adds a significant dimension to our training programmes, ensuring our apprentices receive industry-leading knowledge, preparing them for future success."
