JK Tyre & Industries, a leading tyre manufacturer in the country, has expanded its retail presence with the inauguration of the JK Tyre Truck Wheels Centre in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh.

The facility is designed to be a one-stop shop for all tyre needs, which will be operated by Hemkunt Transport Company. It was inaugurated by  Sanjeev Sharma, Associate Vice-President – Mobility Solutions, JK Tyre & Industries, along with other senior officials of the company.

The company shared that the location was selected because of its strategic position and will cater to needs of fleet operations and commercial vehicle owners in the city and surrounding areas. The new JK Tyre Trucks Wheel Centre spread across 7,500 sqft with highly trained technical advisors, will provide wheel servicing services and the company’s full range of smart tyres, fuel-efficient tyres and other product range for commercial vehicles.

The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. and its employee-backed YOKOHAMA Magokoro Fund are supporting relief efforts in Myanmar following an earthquake by donating funds and resources to aid affected communities.

Yokohama Rubber and YOKOHAMA Magokoro Fund will make a donation through the Japanese Red Cross Society to aid relief operations in the area affected by the earthquake. Yokohama Rubber created the YOKOHAMA Magokoro (Sincere Heart) Fund to assist a range of charitable endeavours, including disaster relief.

The company statement read: “All of us at Yokohama Rubber would like to express our deepest condolences and sympathies to the families who have lost loved ones and to all those who have been affected by the Myanmar earthquake. The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., and its employee-backed YOKOHAMA Magokoro Fund will make a donation through the Japanese Red Cross Society to support relief efforts in the quake-stricken region. Michelin, the world’s leading tyre technology leader, has launched its newest dealership in Delhi. The store will be operated by Mahabir Tyres and becomes the third new dealership that the company has inaugurated in the last three months.

The new store, which is situated in Palika Bhawan, Sector -13, R K Puram, New Delhi, will provide a wide selection of tyres for high-end vehicles from leading tyre companies, along with services like tyre alignment, balance and fitting. Westlake has introduced the 29.5R25 CB740 E4 off-the-road (OTR) tyre at the ongoing BAUMA 2025 in Munich, Germany. The tyre is specifically designed for articulated dump trucks (ADTs).

The CB740's tread depth is 17 percent deeper than the TRA's (Tyre and Rim Association) standard E-4 pattern, according to ZC Rubber, the brand owner of Westlake Tyre. The goal of this design is to give fleets working in demanding mining and construction situations a longer service life. To increase load-bearing capability and heat resistance, the tyre has a multi-layer steel belt design. Increased resistance to cuts, punctures and uneven wear is another benefit of the improved structure.

The wide block tread design of the CB740 E4 is intended to increase vehicle stability and ground contact on difficult construction sites. Additionally, the self-cleaning tread design is meant to lessen stone retention, which will help to shorten maintenance intervals.
